Mr. Prado has over 30 years of experience within the financial services/brokerage and FinTech industry including expertise in blockchain, distributed ledger technologies and crypto trading. He is a founding partner at Novena, a consulting and advisory group specializing in building a future of economic revitalization across the domains of energy, agriculture, real estate, healthcare, education, media, logistics and finance utilizing distributed ledger technologies. He is also the CEO of RAIR Technologies, a blockchain-based digital rights management platform that uses NFT’s to gate access to streaming content.

Previously he acquired and operated an investment bank in Puerto Rico where he worked directly with its government while advising over 50 hedge funds and other large institutional investors as to the political, legal, cultural, and structural realities within this US Territory. Prior to that he founded and self-funded Finacorp Securities in 1994 to offer fixed-income products to small and mid-size institutions. At the time, he became the youngest member/owner broker dealer to be granted licensing in NASD District 2. In 1998, he created an online trading platform for bonds that formed the foundation for Tradebonds.com.

With a deep understanding of start-ups, a demonstrated track record of leading others and a passion for solving massive needs in large addressable markets he sees decentralized (blockchain) technologies as an exciting frontier, capable of transforming everything. Prado’s early experience as a bond trader on both the buy and sell side has provided insight and guidance as to markets and systems. He has been a noted speaker at several international and domestic industry conferences on the topic of electronic trading systems, blockchain infrastructure, custody and digital assets.
